From the WNYC.org blog, a picture of my favorite lunch spot by the East River in Lower Manhattan, taken this afternoon. The tide and surge is only getting higher. Fortunately, all I have to fear here in my NJ suburban fortress is a loss of power.

No power at my home, but no damage. Relocating to my daughter’s city for a few days where things are normal.
